We want to get people moving! The CDC recommends we get at least 10,000 steps over the course of a day (roughly 5 miles).
Issue is, most Americans average 3,000-4,000. That’s less than half! Moving a little extra can help burn excess calories, reduce chances of heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis, while increasing cardiovascular fitness and strengthening bones.
For the month of July, we are challenging individuals to walk 10,000 steps a day, every day. Everyone who registers will receive a t-shirt in the theme of the challenge. Each person who successfully completes the challenge will receive a themed challenge coin. The person with the most steps for the entire month will receive a special award announced at the summation of the challenge.
